I've just begun to dabble in VBA in MicroStation. And when I say "just", I mean earlier this week was the first time.
I have found that if you create a new project from the VBA Project Manager (Utilities>Macros>Project Manager>New Project), when you select that new project from the Project Manager list, a record button becomes active on the Project Manager dialog.
Click the record button and then repeat the actions you have been doing to copy the text to the new cells.
What this does is creates the code behind those actions and that may give you a start for the code you need to automate the process.
Now, I've had varying degrees of success with the code thats generated by this recording... some has been useful and some has been, ...well, less than useful. But it might be a start..?
