Forum Post: Re: Point Controls: Independent Horizontal and Vertical control

OK, I got this working but cannot understand why.

I had the Left PGL imported with the corridor alignment BL_CL and the right PGL chain imported with a copy of the corridor alignment  BL_CL_COPY . The Vertical control of the PGL points where assigned to this geometry. The left and right PGL alignments were imported into Corridor Modeling but not assigned to any points, no vertical geometry was associated with these horizontal controls. The Horizontal control of the PGL points was assigned to Plan Graphics.

RESULT: PGL points were controlled horizontally but undefined vertically.

I changed the left and right PGL alignments by including the left and right profiles in the definition. These alignments still are not tied to any point controls.

RESULT: PGL points are defined vertically and using the correct PGL elevation for the station. WHY???
