Compound walls have been a feature of both BA and AECOsim for a long time yet as far as I can see, I am still not able to create compound horizontal forms.
Why is it not possible to place at the same time, hardcore, blinding, dpm,floor slab & screed?
In the UK the RIBA through a subsiduary company NBS are developing a National BIM Library. Other BIM vendors eg Revit, Archicad, Vectorworks have provided generic compound, floors, ceilings and roofs both flat and pitched which are freely available to users of the NBS site. Bentley does not have any similar content, presumably because the software is not able to create it.
Does anyone know if Bentley developing a horizontal form tool that is capable of providing compound forms and if not why not?
A floor builder tool similar to the wall builder would also be helpful to easily add layers as the design develops.
