Another cross-discipline goodie:
Re-symbolising to single lines: Apparently, some cross discipline elements/tools like railings don't re-symbolise. The elements have to dropped and promoted to add the discipline's info.
OTOH, architectural users would benefit from structures' ability to re-symbolise to another level. Something that was lost when moving to BV's from DEM.
Structural rules could be enhanced to process architectural (or BBMS/ES) elements? This way, consolidated tools like railings etc avoid 'gotcha's' downstream...?
What kind of info does promoting an element add? There is a lot which is geometry/symbology or annotation related... that would be sort of 'universal'. This should be easier to expose to other disciplines, 'under the hood', hopefully.
