Hello,
I'm having difficulty using the Analyze Route tool for HVAC analysis. I've modeled a duct system, with supply and return ductwork and a supply fan.
When I try to use the Analyze Route tool while selecting the components I want to include in the system, nothing happens. If I pick an individual grille to begin with, I get a message saying "System should consist of more than 1 element", but no option to add components to a system. I have looked in the help files, but haven't found a clear sequence of things that I need to do in order to have this collection of ducts and equipment recognized as a system. I checked if there points where the ducts were not connected too, and all connections look ok. Another weird thing going on is, when the Analyze route tool asks me to select a component, and I choose a duct, I see a message saying "Component not in current discipline". I'm pretty sure I've modeled all these components in the Mechanical Discipline environment ( I don't even load Architectural, Electrical or Structural). I would appreciate any help from people who have experienced similar problems and how you were able to have AECOSIM recognize an HVAC system.
Thanks!
