Before beginning to generate a model in ProStructures, many of the underlying settings should be in place. There are quite a few settings to consider but fortunately, most of these can be saved to a Drawing Template (DWT) and loaded each time a new model is to be created. Throughout this document we will look at some of the more relevant features and settings that can be added to the DWT. This is not meant as a feature by feature guide to all the settings available, nor is it meant as an absolute requirement to generating your models and drawings. What we will be looking at is settings that represent key features in generating good models.
Additionally this document has been divided into two areas due to the fact that the DWT used for generating 3D models and the one used for generating 2D drawings should be set up differently.
