As someone with much interest in thermal modeling, messed with Tas, Hot3000 etc, currently mastering WUFI and Therm, and now hitched to AECOsim, am looking forward to weighing up AECOsim Energy Performance on my shopping list - maybe.
However I must protest at the ethos imposed on this Building Performance forum. It's a desert.
"Please feel free to use this forum for discussion on the software, and for sharing hints and tips with other users" but "this forum is not the correct place to post technical support queries".
The error is in regarding any user's question as a Technical support query - not allowed on the forum. Instead only contributions looking like an Ask Inga page are welcome. The error is also in assuming that the forum moderator has to answer everything posted. Forums are supposed to be for mutual help amongst members. That means members posting questions and other members answering. That healthy interchange has been exterminated from this forum - almost every thread is wearliy crushed ("how many times do I have to tell you?") by the moderator.
I for one would be reluctant to buy AECOsim Energy Performance, knowing that there isn't an effective forum in operation.
